I am living in Southern California and working as the Art Director for Surfer Magazine. We share work space with Skateboarder, Snowboarder, Powder, and Bike Magazines as part of Primedia's Action Sports Group. For Surfer, I design and lay out the magazine, design clothing and draw spot illustrations. On nights and weekends I am art director and co-owner of The Ryde, which is an art based clothing outfit. In the wee hours of the morning I do freelance design for clients in the music industry.

In 2005 I moved to my ideal Royal Tennenbaums style house in Berkeley, and found my dream job as the graphic designer/webmaster for The California Shakespeare Theater. It is a passionate and imaginative organization that has never had an in-house designer before, so I have exactly the kind of pressure, challenges, and adventures that I love! I would love to talk to anyone else who also wants to work in the public service sector - I'd help you however I can!

Still down in Carlsbad, CA but after 2 years and the launch of my project at Upper Deck, I decided to move on. (http://sports.upperdeck.com) I had a brief stay at Directed Electronics designing print collateral for their many mobile/home audio lines like Orion, PPI, ADS, SIRIUS radio and Viper/Clifford Alarms. As of recent I have taken a huge step in my career and I am now Project Manager/ Flash Designer of online marketing for Sony here at the San Diego headquarters. Still teaching graphic design at a local college part-time and working on occasional freelance projects. Glad to see everyone is doing well! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I moved back up to the Bay Area after graduating and had some brief contractual design work before I became a Lead Art Instructor for Camp Galileo, a children's summer program. After that, I landed a position at Century 21 Champion as a Marketing Coordinator. I spent a year there and decided to move on and chase a dream of mine. A couple of friends and myself wrote, produced, and directed our own independent film titled "Leave it to Chance" (www.leaveittochance.info). We actually held the world premiere at the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly in April 2005. We spent the next year touring the film across the country with stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, and at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Following the tour, I got back into art instruction for children with Kid's Creative Adventures for about six months. Presently, I'm a graphic designer for Yvo Riezebos Design based in San Francisco. We create mainly book covers and interiors with occasional packaging and web projects for reputable publishing companies. I've been busy, but it's a good busy.

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER...SCHOOL'S OUT FOR EVER... A few lyrics which I awaited so long to sing. After graduation I received a full time offer as the gallery director of Just Looking Gallery in down town San Luis Obispo. We are the oldest gallery of 21 years in our county. We offer cutting edge fine art and represent local, national, international and historical artists. Please feel free to contact me regarding any information about what it is like to get paid for the work you do. I am very thankful for my education but even more thankful for my compensation.

Now living with my fiancé, Gavin Crabb (IE '02) in Hoboken, NJ and looking for a job in Manhattan. My focus in design has been mostly identity, branding, print. I'm a loser. I'm not doing anything really cool for any big organizations. But here's an update anyway: My wife and I had our son, Isaac, on 3-18-04. He's awesome and super handsome (he looks just like me). I have my own photography and fine art business that's not real successful, but it pays for itself. My day job is designing custom cycling clothing at Voler Team Apparel in Grover Beach. It's one of the top custom cycling clothing manufacturers in the country. I'm leading worship for the high school youth group at my church.

I've been showing paintings in the Low Brow art scene in L.A., S.F., Chicago, Florida, and an exhibit in Paris. Just finished an installation for "Tiki Art 2" at www.shootinggallerysf.com in SF, which has published a nice book with all the work in it. I'm also finishing up my single subject teaching credential and Masters at CSUN. Adrift, my clothing line, just got some backing, and a clothing rep, ready to hit the east and west coast surf shops for national distribution. I've also got a Tiki mug coming out in Spring produced by Tiki Farm and limited edition serigraphs published by Falling Cocos. And still trying to figure out how to move back to SLO!
