Graphic DesignJustin Gier Personal website: people.artcenter.edu/~gier/ Email: justingier@gmail.com I graduated with my MFA in Media Design from Art Center College of Design in December 2008. Currently I'm am the graduate fellow at Art Center for Spring 2009, and continue to work on projects and research related to my thesis. Daniel Hyman Business website: signsandservicesco.com Email: danmhyman@aol.com Finding that three dimensions are more fun than two, I started making signs when I graduated. I then spent three years as a designer and fabricator at a small shop in Anaheim, with only myself and two thirty-year veterans. I built electric signs and channel letters from raw steel and sheetmetal, designed and made the vinyl graphics and plastic sign faces, and installed electric signs high on buildings.
This year I took a position as the head designer for Signs and Services Company. We have several national accounts, we make the signs for Dodger Stadium, and I am having a great time. Except that now when I climb something I don't get paid, and I don't get to hit stuff with hammers. Monica Ingoldsby Email: mmi@ritab.com For the first two years after graduation, I worked from home mostly free bonus for my church; then I started working at Rita B. & Company in Visalia, California as a Graphic Designer and now I've become senior Graphic Designer. I'm in charge of all the print design and I've been working with great copywriters. I am enjoying meeting people from Visalia. It has been fun. I built recently a home with Centex which I enjoyed. Jacquelynne (Jacquie) Klo Email: jklo@sj-smart.com I have spent the last 3-4 years back in my hometown Stockton, California. The last two years have been spent at San Joaquin RTD, the bus company for the San Joaquin Region. I am SJRTD's first and only graphic designer, which has been a great place to get my feet wet. It's pretty neat seeing a bus drive around with your artwork! I am also pursuing my education. I am presently attending Cal State University, Stanislaus for my teaching credential in Art, and have plans to work towards my MFA in graphic design at the CCA in San Francisco.
