After graduating Poly, I had a brief stint at Curtis Design in SF. Six months later moved onto Anvil Design(http://www.anvildesign.com) where I spent a year and a half as a designer for print/web/tradeshows/packaging etc. I was laid off as the economy tanked and decided to reevaluate my career goals. Under the coersion of a cousin, I went to cosmetology school and received my state license. I am now an apprenticing stylist at Elevation Salon and Cafe in downtown San Francisco. If anyone is interested in hair, fashion, or just getting a haircut feel free to contact me. We do a lot of editorial work and fashion shows outside of the salon as well as charity benefits.

Married 8 years this Christmas, and the two little ones are not so little. Kids have a habit of growing, as a result the house in San Jose is getting smaller. I’m working in a large marketing department as “The” web guy. I get to surf the web all day and create spiffy flash stuff that people actually look at. Crazy! Clients include Siemens, Fujitsu and myself. I run McClintock.Design in my free time... Ha ha. My word for the day is “balance”. Don’t spend all your time in the office, get out, play, and most importantly go home early. There will always be “just one more” thing to do. Have fun.

What can I say... I have been slaving away at design. Over the past 6 years have gone through 3 different jobs, bought 2 houses, had 1 baby girl and still married despite my work-a-holic tendencies. We ended up settling down in Murrieta, CA, 4 months ago (50 miles north of San Diego). I recently went corporate and now have the title of Design & Marketing Coordinator at Maxwell Technologies. So now I am involved heavily in the planning of MarCom activities vs. being a designer. Although I sold out to the "man", I freelance heavily which I cannot emphasize enough for anyone in the biz. Currently, I teach Pilates and have a private practice in Therapeutic Massage in Los Angeles. I still shoot for friends and family - wedding photos, portraits, and even childbirth photography... I'm enjoying photography as a hobby much more than I did as a career choice.
