Doing lots of design for web, print and video. Got a good design education from Poly. Though we didn't use computers for design in '84, the principles and creative process are the basically the same.
Glad to see Poly design department being active. Don't know how many alumni would remember me. My greetings to those that do. Greetings to Poly! Margaret Kim Email: margaret@mandk.com I have been running a one-person design business, M&K Design, in Palo Alto, since 1993. I focus on corporate identity, graphic identity systems, and all types of print graphics. Since graduating from Cal Poly, I've worked at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising and Hill Design in Houston, Mark Anderson Design in Palo Alto, SBG Partners in San Francisco, and did a stint as an Art Director at Sun Microsystems in Mountain View. I can't believe it's been over 20 years since I graduated! On the up side, I do feel a bit wiser though.. I don't hire interns, but if any student would like to contact me about anything (graphic design-related, of course), please feel free to drop me an email. I have no employeees or interns. I have recently adopted a child so that is currently where the majority of my creative energies are going at this time. kate scott Business website: juanartistcommunity.com/scott Email: greatscott@rockisland.com When I moved up here to the islands in 1990, I discovered the going rate for a logo was $100.! So I just concentrate on my paintings, which I show in a local gallery. I've had many, many shows, with not a lot of sales, but the prints of the big pieces sell well. I do a lot of free logos for local organizations. It's wonderful here.
